- NEW DELHI, June 19, 2026–Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee (DPCC) President Shri Devender Yadav today assured hundreds of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) workers who joined the Congress at the DPCC Office, Rajiv Bhawan here today, that the Congress ideology and the path shown by Congress President Shri Mallikarjun Kharge and Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha Shri Rahul Gandhi will work together to strengthen the Congress party.
Shri Devender Yadav welcomed all the leaders of the Aam Aadmi Party who joined the Congress by draping them with patka of the Congress. Shri Devender Yadavwelcomed Aam Aadmi Party’s legal team led by Dilshad Khan, Aam Aadmi Party candidate from Ward 225, Seelampur in the 2022 MCD elections Mumtaz Riazuddin, former independent candidate for the MCD elections Mohammad Ayub Masoodi, Mandal President Aas Mohammad, Arif Khan, Riazuddin Khan and Zahid to the Congress fold.
The AAP leaders, who deserted the Congress to join the AAP and ‘returned home today’ said that it was a mistsake on their part to join the corrupt AAP, and will not repeat such a mistake as Congress was the only party which works for and serves the interest of the public.
On this occasion, apart from DPCC President Shri Devendra Yadav, former Minister Dr. Narendra Nath, General Secretary Organization Shri Anil Bhardwaj, Vice Presidents Jagjivan Sharma, Abha Chaudhary, CP Mittal, District Presidents Rajkumar Jain, Inderjit Singh, Amandeep Singh Sudan, General Secretaries Dr. PK Mishra, Vineet Yadav and Pramod Jayant were also present.
